Hayes and Katie are Married! -- Part I

We all headed to the west coast to celebrate the union of Hayes and Katie!  It was such a great trip.  The kiddos were troopers and handled the time difference pretty well.  As always, it was great to get together with the fam and this time welcome the new addition of the Hadland family!  Talk about an awesome family!

Uncle Hayes with his niece Elle, enjoying an afternoon at the beach.
Beautiful babe.
Nana making sand castles with her little man Landon.
Katie's Dad, Gary digging up sand crabs...Landon LOVED this!
Three beautiful ladies with one beautiful babe.  Katie with her Mom, Sharon and sister, Kelly.
Elle loved walking down the beach with Sharon.
One of my favorite pics...Katie and her Dad.
 Hayes and Katie's view!
Grandaddy spending some quality time with Elle.  :)
Uncle Ryan came along to help out with Landon and Elle.  He was AMAZING with them and such a big help!  Plus, I got to spend some good time with my little bro.  ;)
Uncle Geoff and Landon...the picture says it all.  :)  Super cute.
 Aunt Trish with her God-babe!
Hayes and Katie have THE cutest pup.  Her name is Callie and she took a liking to Ryan.

 My sassy little thing.  :)
 Love this little guy...beautiful blues.
The next day we all got our nails done for the BIG day!
 Katie and Kelly relaxing together.

Amicalola Falls

A few weekends ago we met up with a few of our friends from FL in the Georgia mountains.  They were up for a week camping and we hiked the Amicalola waterfalls with them!  It was absolutely beautiful and it was really great being in nature.  It's moments like these when you are just in awe of God's creations.

On our way driving up the mountain.
 Heading into a cloud!
Jake and Josie loved playing with Elle and Landon.  All giving each other a high five!
It was so beautiful up here.
Little pose before we headed up the mountain!
We stopped in the lodge for a nature talk about birds.
Danielle showing the girls a few of their snakes.  For some reason, Elle was super excited to see the snakes...haha hope this isn't a new hobby.
Landon and I got to touch one!
Ugh...this was interesting haha.  Landon actually helped me hold it!
Josie and Landon looking for bull frogs.
This trail goes all the way up to Maine!
 Checking out the birds.
This owl reminded me of the owls in Harry Potter...oh how I love those books/movies.
At the very top of the waterfall looking down...that is a very steep drop!
It was really incredible, at the top of this huge waterfall there was just a small stream.
Baby girl is very adventurous...had to keep a close eye on this one.
Paul and Billy with all of the kiddos.
And here we go!
It was a ton of steps to get down...you would think that going down wouldn't be that challenging.  Try holding a child the entire way down...our calves were screaming at the end!
Thankfully Billy took over with Elle!!
At the middle of the falls there was a small bridge connecting the path.  This view was amazing.
 Family photo shoot!  :)
Landon couldn't take his eyes off of it!
Ok...just another 200 steps to go!
 I love nature!
Elle was in her element...just like her Momma.
Getting towards the end of the trail.
 Love this pic.
The Soff family!
Finally made it to the bottom. Not sure if you can see it, but at the 425 steps, somone wrote "Ya'll crazy!". Haha gotta love southerners.
Landon discovered in the pond at the bottom of the falls a bunch of almost fully grown frogs...tadpoles!!  This was really cool!
 This kid LOVES nature!
There were probably 50 of them and they were 4-6 inches long...these were going to be BIG frogs!
Later that evening with did a good ol' southern boil!
 Haha love this little cutie.
She got stuck in the chair...had to share. :)
Jake was showing me how to eat crawfish...with explicit details of how you 'suck' the head out.  No thank you!  But, thanks for showing me anyway Jake!  I'll stick with Maryland Blue Crabs.
 Landon was pretty into them.
He liked playing with them and making them talk.
After dinner, the kids were playing make believe in the back of the camp site.  Landon was the gatherer (he would go out to the front of the campsite and catch an animal) and Jake and Josie would place the animal in it's cage.  They were building a zoo.  They had everything from camels to alligators to white siberian tigers in there!
I loved this...we have officially started the stage in life where the kids eat at the 'kids table'.  :)  Landon really liked having a designated table for the kiddos.
Making our decent down the mountain.
We stopped on the side of the road and this is what we were looking at...just beautiful.
Isn't it amazing to think that God designed all of this for us!
And on our way through the town, we found this glorious sight...Good ol' America.
Would be really amazing to hike this whole trail one day!  Maine to Georgia.

Just something I had to share...

I made this for Elle's one year birthday 5 months ago...I know I'm super late in delivering, but I finally figured out how to post it haha.  It's also not the greatest quality, but something we will treasure in the years to come.  Enjoy!!!

So very thankful and blessed for this sweet baby girl.
