Lovin' Lax

Visiting Blessed Trinity HS to watch Rachel play and Elle got her very first lacrosse stick for her 2nd birthday!  I couldn't keep my camera off of the kiddos this day and loved how Elle was so into her new stick.  Enjoy!

Elle saw Sarah and ran straight for her to get a giant hug.  :)
Elle was showing Sarah her new stick.  :)
I'm thinking lacrosse might be in her future.
Big brother was kind enough to hold Elle's stick while she got out of her chair.  So sweet.  Meanwhile, he's got his giant Ninja Turtle snugged in tight to his arm.  :)
Playing catch with Sarah.
Love going to lacrosse games!
Love snuggling with my little man.
Haha, I love this pic...Paul is out of town for work and this is what I look like when he's not there.  Both wanted to be held, so to avoid a public meltdown I gave in.  :)
Working on her stick tricks.
Would be so fun if Landon and Elle played lacrosse one day!

Birthday Girls

Elle and I shared a birthday last weekend!  Elle turned 2 and this momma turned 29.  We had plans to go to the aquarium that day, so we all hopped in the car and started on our what should have been a 25 minute car ride and ended up being an hour and a half ride.  But, we enjoyed our time together in the car.  Then we got downtown and the line to get into the aquarium was wrapped around the building and it was 30 degrees outside and windy.  So, we decided to have a change of plans and headed straight for Toys R Us so that Elle could pick out her very own birthday gift.  It only took us another 45 minutes to get there because of the downtown Atlanta traffic.  Gotta love traffic!  But, we got there and Elle had so much fun picking out her own gift and it was such a special afternoon.

Check out those adorable pink cowgirl boots!
She's really into Tigger and Pooh Bear!
And of course, her very favorite Disney Princess...Arial.  She was my favorite too.   :)
 Love her.
She was favoring these mermaids for a while, but eventually found another toy to go home with.
 Birthday girls!
Landon got to pick out a small toy too...can't take a kid into Toys R Us and leave empty handed...it's impossible!
And this is what the birthday girl chose...baby Cinderella along with some new books.  She sings and glows at night for soothing sounds to fall asleep to.  Very cute.
After leaving Toys R Us, we headed to our local Gluten Free bakery to get some yummy cupcakes for all of us to share!  I've been trying this out now for about a month to see if it helps my sinuses to reduce inflammation and I must stay, these G-Free cupcakes were AWESOME!
 She loved that icing!
 Mmmmm...
Down the hatch!
 Happy girl!

The 2 for our sweet angel and the 29 for her ol' Momma.  :)  Next year we will be able to share candles again too for the big 3 and 3-0!  Whoah...not ready for that one though haha!
Love sharing this special day with my baby girl and best birthday present I could have ever received 2 years ago.  So in love.

New Adventures

We've been all over the place lately and here is a collection of our latest adventures!

Recently, Elle has developed a liking for Landon's Ninja Turtle costume.  So cute!
And she is learning to love lacrosse!
She has a big future ahead of her!  :)
Nice form!
Bohdi and Beyah have been great guard dogs since we've moved into our new house.  Thankful for the time we have left with Beyah (you can see her tumor on her left front paw).  Our first baby.
Paul's jacket got embroidered with our new logo!!  So pumped!
One morning when Landon was at school Elle thought it would be a good idea to put his breathing mask on her head like a headband haha.  She's too funny!
I received this in the mail from Landon!  His teacher at school sent these to all of the Mom's for Valentines Day.  This will be treasured for the rest of my life...framing it and putting it on our dresser!
Learning how to write his name!
 Love my little man.
This was a 'fun' adventure we had recently...I was downstairs working and Elle was being super quiet. I have learned in my short 3 and a half years of being a Mommy that quiet = trouble.  I came upstairs and found Elle sitting on my side of our bed with her hand deep inside the giant tub of Vaseline we had in our cabinet.  She had it slathered all in her hair and all over my pillows.  She looked like Elvis.  Cute, but not fun to get out of her hair.  Needless to say, she was put in the bath immediately and it took 3 full days (baths) to get all of the Vaseline out of her hair.
On a totally different note, Paul has been such a handy-man lately!  He installed our brand new storm door!  He did a great job and he's just the best.  Love him so much!
And finally, a few days ago we had my friends kiddos over for a playdate and Landon & Elle loved every minute of it.  Elle's room was a fun place to play.
And Elle especially loved having Channing over to play with all of her princess toys.
Downstairs the boys had fun playing with the camera app on my computer.  Tyler is 5 and is unbelievable on the computer already!
 Good buds.
 Sweet baby girl.
Elle went down for a nap so these three snuggled up on the recliner and watched Octonauts on Disney.  They all played so well together!  We really enjoy having playdates!

Weekend of Relaxation

Nana came in town to visit and allowed for Paul and I to have a weekend getaway!  It was so great.  Anne got to spend a lot of time with the kiddos and we got to have some relaxation out of the house.  We received a lot of picture text updates while we were away and it looked like Nana and the kiddos were having a lot of fun!  Nana came prepared with a lot of fun crafts for the kiddos to do!  Paul and I were able to enjoy a nice dinner out and stayed at a hotel in Buckhead for one night.  The following morning, Paul got me a facial for my birthday and it was heavenly.  I came back feeling so refreshed and ready to take on the next few months while Paul is up in Pittsburg for work.  Thank you so much Anne and Paul for my birthday weekend of relaxation!!

When Nana arrives, her Mary Poppins bag is always full of fun things for Landon and Elle.  :)
Elle got her very own Leap Pad for her birthday.
On Sunday we went to local playground and had some fun outdoors.
Landon loves to show off his new 'playground' skills. :)
 Elle saying "Peek-a-boo"!
 Wow, he's a fast slider.
This was funny...we all took a turn on this Hampster wheel thing.  It was hilarious.  Anne was first up!
 Paul's turn!
 Didn't last long haha.
I didn't last very long either haha.
 Swirly slide!
After this fun ride, they were both super staticky!
 That was fun!
 Funky slide ride.
 Saying hi.
 Nice Mother-Son pic...We had a great time!
 Elle's ready for her permit.
I can't help but get a flash forward image in my head for when Landon and Elle grow up when I see this picture.
 Love my little man!
 Family pic!
Ready to go on our walk in the woods!
 Elle loves this!
 Nana wanted a ride!
We found a bridge and a cool stream!
Elle loves to be carried when we go on family walks.
Found a cool tree...Elle didn't like being up there.
We made it to the bridge!
 Nature =  FUN!  :)
Watching Paul try to skip rocks haha.
Landon wanted to give it a try!
My turn to skip some rocks...Paul and I of course tried to see who could get the most skips.
He found some sticks that he wanted to throw of the side of the bridge.
 Love our little family!
 Sweet babes.
 Back on the playground!
Elle and I ran into this cute little hot-dog dog.  :)
 Elle loves her Daddy.
On our way home from the playground, we stopped at Petsmart to get Landon and Elle another fish!
We also celebrated both Elle's and my birthdays and Valentines day with this yummy cake.  Elle was loving every bite.  She just took a bite of her ice cream in this pic and I think was getting a brain freeze haha.
 That's much better.
 Singing Happy Birthday!
Loved this sweet pic of Nana and Elle.
Meet Brucey!

Thank you again Anne for allowing Paul and I to have a little getaway!  We are so thankful and I especially feel rejuvenated and ready to take on the next few months of Paul being away!
