New Traditions

With our move to Atlanta comes new family traditions.

We just got bikes and this is a pic of Paul riding it home...we couldn't figure out how to fit both his and mine on the bike rack...it was about 100 degrees and we were on a blacktop in the parking lot of Target. So, Paul decided to just ride it home. We live about 6 miles from Target, but it's SUPER hilly. Pretty good workout!
Haha, this just makes me laugh.

We are still spending a lot of time at the pool. Elle loves to just float like a lady in her tube and Landon still likes to sit on the steps playing with his toys. He is getting better and better at coming in with us and working on floating, and kicking his legs.
Such a classic pic of these two at the pool.
Still rockin' the shades.
And as we are about to leave in the middle of changing him back into his play clothes, he spots a lizard and takes off trying to catch it.

Our town has a great farmers market every weekend and we recently went and had a great time. It was full of really interesting people, cool vendors and really great food.

Check out all that garlic!
Homemade shea butter full of Vitamin C and E!
Fresh bread!
One of my favorite pics to date...Paul, Landon and I in the shadow and our adventurous little girl taking the lead.
This guy was riding his bike making and selling fruit smoothies...the pedaling made his blender go!
I just can't get enough of this.
The kiddos checking out the big water fountain.
We got some all natural fruit popcicles and Elle ate pretty much the whole thing.
Bite
Cold face.
Mmmm, that's good.
Love her so much.
We will definitely be doing this again!

I also recently got hired as a lacrosse recruiting coordinator for a club program here in Atlanta. I'm super excited about this opportunity and am really excited to help young girls find their future college home. Best part about this job is that I can work from home!! I have also started personal speed and agility training High School and College girls in our area. This has been a lot of fun! The kids come with me sometimes and love to play on the field while I train the players.

Helping Momma get set up.
Elle taking a lap. :)
Landon tried to do the ladder, tripped and Elle started crying haha. Go figure.

Paul and I decided to start a weekly in-date night! We pick a night of the week and pick a deliciously interesting recipe and cook together. This was our first attempt. :)
Wouldn't be a date night without a nice glass of wine. Haha gotta love our cheesy pose. Thanks for putting up with me Paul. :)
Mmm getting started.
Paul in action.
Date night in equals sharing it with the kiddos...but we wouldn't want it any other way. Tried to get Landon to eat blueberries by coating them in sugar...didn't work. He only ate the sugar.
And this was the finished product: strawberry balsamic salad with pine nuts and flax seeds, delicious asparagus and a tomato-basil rub salmon over a nice bed of pasta.
It was fabulous!

4th of July 2012

Our very first 4th of July in Atlanta.  It was really fun and we were able to meet a lot of fun people in our neighborhood!  It was a good year this Independence Day...Landon was very brave listening to the loud fireworks (saying they were the shape of flowers) and Elle loved every minute of it clapping after different fireworks.

Landon and I went outside to play some catch.

Then we took a nap.  :)

Poor baby girl got attacked by mosquitoes and her little eye swelled up really bad.  Still a happy camper though!

She also got her very first lollipop!!

On the 3rd of July,  our community had a block party to watch the fireworks next door.  There are a bunch of athletic fields next to our community and they put on a huge fireworks show every year!

Elle sitting so sweet.

Just before they were about to go off, Landon was getting a little nervous haha.

They haven't even started yet Landon!

About to begin and he's still holding his ears haha.

A little sparkler action just before the big show.

The next day, on the 4th we went to the Chattahoochee Nature Center to go hiking.  The kids got to touch a snake!

On our hike we saw this design of how wide a tree can grow!

We love exploring nature now that Landon is old enough to understand and learn about what we are showing him.  He takes such a big interest into nature.

Our next family activity!

We spotted this frog...can you find it?  Look right in the middle.

The Chattahoochee river is absolutely beautiful.  Plus we can 'shoot the hooch' anytime we want (float down the river on individual or 6-man tubes!).

We spotted these beautiful flowers on our hike.

While climbing up a mountain we found these awesome rocks...and Paul did his best to strike a pose!  :)

Curious little man.

The boys going ahead to make sure the stroller would fit on the trail.

These next 3 pictures are some of my favorite.  We stopped to take a short break on a nice bench overlooking the river and I asked Landon to give me a kiss...
At first he thought he needed to look into the camera and then he went in for the big kiss!!  Mommy's lips are a lot bigger than his haha.

What a beautiful view!

This is how Daddy does Elle's hair haha half of it still hanging down...
But, he is getting better each and every time he puts it up in a pony tail!

She is just getting SO big!

Check out these awesome hawks!!

It was a great 4th!
