Gavin John has Arrived!

After almost 10 months of waiting, October 29, 2013 Gavin John was born.  We woke up at 4am ready to head into the hospital to be induced when we received a phone call from a nurse at the hospital asking us to wait 'patiently' until they call us back because they had no rooms available.  You can imagine how frustrated and upset I was after the anticipation of having the baby that day.  Not only were we told we would have to wait a few hours, but that they may have to push us back another day.  This momma was ready to pop and mentally, I was done being pregnant.  After 7 hours of waiting we received the phone call around 11:15am and we headed into the hospital.  I was induced around 5:45pm and Gavin arrived shortly after at 6:51pm!  We were so happy it was before 7pm because our wonderful nurse had to end her shift at 7pm and kept asking us to have a fast delivery so she could meet our new little man.  Well, it was pretty fast I'd say and she was happy to leave her shift for that day having met the little guy she helped bring into this world!  Here are the pictures from start to finish and through our hospital stay.  Gavin is finally here and he's the most perfect little man ever!  We are so in love!

Driving to the hospital…it was a pretty quiet drive.  We were both so ready (me mentally and physically), but also pretty nervous.
I wore bracelets that Landon and Elle made me for the big day.
So ready.
Just got hooked up to the monitors (spent about 4 hours just hanging out in the room waiting for the doctor).
Preggo (IV in, pitocin drip has begun and ready to get this started) selfie
Going crazy waiting for the doctor to come in.
My view.
Ok, water has broke and the pain has begun…waiting for the epidural.
Epidural is in and feeling good now.  Facetiming with my Momma.
And about an hour later Gavin John arrived perfect and 7 pounds 1 ounce!
I can say that this is the BEST moment I've ever experienced in my life and I'm blessed to have experienced it three times.  No words can describe the feeling you have the first time you hold your baby that has been growing inside of you for the last 9 months.

 Tears of joy.
He looks like a Richards in this pic.
Rounded up to 7lb 1oz…the biggest out of our 3 babes.  (Landon 6.8lb/ Elle 6.13lb)

 First skin to skin.

Skin to skin is so precious…another wonderful first Mommy moment with this sweet baby.
Daddy's first time holding his new little man!

Landon and Elle have arrived to meet their new brother!
Landon was very hesitant at first.

Elle was very cautious around baby Gavin…didn't quite understand what was going on.
2 hours old!
 Family hospital bracelets.
Family of 5!
So glad Nana could be there to meet Gavin in his first few hours of life!  And it was such a blessing knowing Landon and Elle were well taken care of while Paul and I were in the hospital for 2 days.
Day 2!
It was a long night haha.
5am- Gavin and I got to spend a few hours of quality time together getting to know each other while Daddy rested up.

Watching the sun rise together.

 Little brother.
Anne and the kiddos showed up to spend some time with the new little man.
Elle was a bit more interested in Gavin on day 2.  :)
Such a good big sister.
 Proud Nana.
 Back to the norm...
Landon's first time holding his new baby brother.

Paul was amazing and changed every diaper while we were in the hospital.  He let me rest and heal and tackled the yucky meconium poopies.  :)  Love him so much.
Resting in the hospital bassinet next to my bed.
Can't believe we are parents of 3.
A photographer came in and took some pictures.
Love seeing how small Gavin is in his Daddy's hands.
We gave Elle her very own 'baby Gavin' to take care of to be like Mommy.  She loved it.
Elle asked to hold the 'real' baby Gavin.  :)
 So sweet.

Nana and Gavin getting to know each other.
Checking out our mountain view from the hospital room.  We were so blessed to receive such beautiful flowers and balloons from our family and friends…made us feel very special.  :)
Gavin's 'going home outfit'.  (This was Landon's when he was an itty bitty baby.)
And we're home!  Look how tiny he is in his carseat.
Our family is now complete and we couldn't be more happy.  Landon and Elle love their baby brother so much and we are very proud parents.  So very thankful God has blessed us with 3 healthy beautiful children.
