Landon is 5!

Landon David has turned 5 years old and it feels like yesterday my sweet boy was born.  We couldn't be more proud of the little boy he is becoming.  He has such a great thirst for knowledge, he loves his sister and brother so much, he STILL loves fish and everything under the sea and also is still very into dinosaurs.  His room is decorated with sharks and shark teeth.  He has quite the collection of shark teeth and has asked Santa this year for a Megalodon tooth.  He frequently asks if he can be a scientist when he grows up.  He loves to decorate his room for every major holiday and enjoys spending time with Daddy doing 'boy stuff'.  He loves to swim, go hiking, exercise with Daddy, and fish.  He uses a net to scoop out shrimp and minnows.  His favorite food is still a good ol' PB&J and he is starting to eat mandarin oranges and apples.  He loves to write his letters and practice the ABC's.  His favorite song to sing is The Itty Bitty Spider and he loves to read his books.  He is a very happy, energetic and is an adventure seeking boy.

On our way to school on his birthday!
He picked out his birthday outfit.
Landon and his friend London both have the same birthday.  Fun day in their Pre-K class!

At home, we had more cupcakes waiting for the birthday boy!
Later that night, I found Elle in her room with her princess crown on playing with her Ariel jewelry box and she said she was dressed up for Landon's birthday.
Finished baking his birthday party cupcakes!
It's the day of his big party!  He asked for a Ninja Turtle birthday party and so we made it happen!  It was a fun DIY project for me to get excited over.  :)  We were so happy to make his special day so fun.
The table is all set up and ready to go.
Thank goodness for Pinterest!  Oreos for sewer lids and each plate had a felt mask and a matching necklace to wear.  And the girls got green tutu's to wear as well.
Rafael and Leonardo hung out in the middle.
Cheese balls for "Mikey's Munch" and Chex Mix for "Turtle food".
Ninja Turtle bubbles and frisbees, and the kids got to fill up the bags under their plates with green gum balls and green M&M's.
And finally green jello aka "Toxic Ooze".
Landon loved helping me set up the table.
Ready to get this party started!
Landon's best friend was the first guest to show up!  Garrett has been in Landon's class for 2 years now and they have become great buddies.  What was even sweeter, was Landon's gift was very thought out from Garrett "with all of his favorite things" as Garrett said.
Let the fun begin!

Pizza!  The Ninja Turtles' favorite food!

 We had a special visitor...
It was a little overwhelming at first, but he kids really loved the Ninja and learning all of his Ninja moves.
During the Ninja training, Landon hung out with a few of his friends in the shade.

When the Ninja pulled out the swords, Landon was ready to jump back in the action.

While the kids were enjoying playing and hanging out, someone special snuck up and surprised the birthday boy.
He was so excited to see Leonardo!
Elle wanted in on the fun too!

Gavin had fun dressing up like a Ninja Turtle too!
 What a fun day!
Singing to the birthday boy!

It was the best 5th birthday party ever!
Looking back on the day we welcomed Landon into the world.  Daddy's first time holding Landon.
5 and a half hours of labor and I finally get to hold my sweet boy.  Thank you for making us parents Landon.  We love you!
