Recent Happenings

We are really enjoying Atlanta so far.  Still haven't met many people outside of our neighborhood, but that will come.  So as of late, we have just been getting to know our new surroundings and getting our house put together.  Elle got a little stomach bug and I unfortunately came down with it a few days after she did.  I ended up in the hospital, but we are both doing great now and are back on our feet!  Thank God Paul and Landon have not shown any signs of sickness (yay for Lysol!).  These are some recent pics of our latest going abouts!

The kids love our bed.  Every morning they climb up and sprawl out.
Landon now calls his toys his "Treasures" and lines them up in the kitchen.
 Breakfast anyone?

Landon coloring in our family room while watching a Disney classic, Tarzan.  This is a before pic of the fireplace and wall.
 Such a little artist.
An after pic of this wall...not quite finished, but almost!  Need to hide some wires and figure out how to decorate, but it's coming along!!  Paul put together the bookcase and built from scratch the TV stand!  He's becoming quite handy with his new tools.  :)
And on this wall we decided to use an idea we got from the Pottery Barn magazine.  We hung these pictures with boat cleats and boat rope.  Again, Paul has been working very hard and it's starting to feel like home...just need to put some pics in them now!  :)  It's going to be a places we've lived theme.

 Out and about...
This is a 2T Baby Gap outfit...she's just growing so fast and is SO BIG!
 Love this little munchkin.
Leaving the gym after a fun couple of hours of play time!
When there is a speed bump, Landon HAS to walk on it because the black part is like lava.  So, he decided to teach his sister this important fact of life.  :)
'Ooopps, don't slip' he tells Elle.  So sweet.
 Having fun in the car!
 Your stylin' dude.
Another day, we visisted Whole Foods and Landon was begging me to buy one of these fish to take home haha.  We bought some from the freezer section instead...much easier to handle.  (Still rockin' his Navy lax shirt Uncle Geoff!)
I've always wanted to try one of those cake pops from Starbucks...so we did and mmm are they good!!
 The kids were chowing down!!
 The average temp these days.

With our first home buying experience comes new tools and yard equipment.  So, here we are at Sears taking advantage of their holiday sales!  And what better than a pic of Paul pushing a double stroller through the ''Men's" department.
What a great idea...a lawn mower with an umbrella.  Too bad this would topple over and fall down our steep backyard.  Oh well...guess a push mower will do the job just as well!  :)

Future Laxers

We got the kids their first lacrosse sticks and goal!  Landon caught on pretty fast and Elle likes to hold the stick.  Future Laxers!  Thankfully there are tons of opportunities to play lacrosse here in Atlanta!  Over 100 high schools have lacrosse, so that's a plus.

Split dodge!

 First time shooting the cage.
Checking out these lacrosse sticks...hmmm interesting.
 Winding up for a shot!
Wow, check that out!!  The ball is in the back of the net!!
Bohdi and Beyah love our new backyard.
Brought some seashells with us from Fernandina Beach and this sweet baby girl loves to admire these flowers.
Holding on to her first lacrosse stick!
 Haha, what a cutie!

Surviving the HEAT

It's been record high temps here in Atlanta and just about everywhere else.  The last two days it reached 108 degrees here, which has meant a lot of inside time in the A/C, thank goodness for that and pool time!  Our neighborhood has a nice little pool, with 2 awesome tennis courts and a fun playground!

Come on in Landon it's great!
Playing catch with Elle and Landon.
 Landon met a new friend!
 Yea goggles!
Each time we go to the pool he is less and less scared.  I have a feeling by the end of the summer, I won't be able to get him out!!
 Too cute.
 Happy little bug!
 She was laughing so hard.
We took a swim break for a yummy snack of fresh strawberries...mmmmm.  :)
About to leave and I had to snap this pic...little stud with his towel wrapped around him haha.

Landon's Future School

In touring our new area, we decided to check out the kids future Elementary School.  It is one of the top rated schools in our area and we've heard a lot of great things about it!

Checking out the playground.
 Nice balance!

These next few pics are hilarious.  The kids love to hold hands when they walk, but sometimes Elle wants to go her own way and Landon will not let her hand go.

Happy together...
Elle looking around like, ugh ok I'm done now...
Landon insisting they go check out the trees...
 Still happy together...
 And the power struggle begins...
Landon trying his best to hang on haha...
Bam, down she goes in her last attempt to go her own way.  Landon however, is still trying to keep hold of her by pulling on her dress.  And eventually he lets her go haha.
I think they will love this Elementary School one day!!
